I have a couple of textareas on a safecracker form (EE 2.2.2), they are set to auto break formatting.

When editing the entries via Safecracker, the text in the textarea shows the html tags, namely the break tags.  I tried switching the field formatting to auto HTML, and the same effect was there, there were paragraph tags around my text in the textarea. 

When editing the textareas in the control panel the html formatting does not show.

Is there a way to make this go away, or perhaps a setting that I’m missing?

You can close this one.  After walking away from the problem, I realized that this could be due to the fact that I have a safecracker form amidst a channel entries loop (limit=1).  Anyway, I separated the safecracker code into it’s own embed and the issue is resolved.
