This question may be related to a resolved thread.
If you login with a faulty username or password you get:
“You are not authorized to perform this action”
Besides “You provided the wrong password” can we also request “That username does not exist”?
When will this be implemented? Is there an Addon which adds these fundamental helpful error messages? Thanks

Hi emorling,
The add-on I would look at is Custom System Messages. While I have not had a chance to use it just yet it does seem to cover the functionality of changing those messages.
