Looking for an EE2 add-on that does something like MD Character Count. I realize there are plenty of plug-ins for truncating on the front-end, but I need something for authoring content.

Don’t believe anything exists for the back-end. Usually I just put a note in the instructions that reads along the lines of “Limited to XXX characters. If more than XXX characters, content will be cut off.”
