I have been reading about how EE is struggling to keep up with the memberships and sometimes cannot keep up with constant customer service requests.

I was wondering why don’t EE look at paid or unpaid internships? This will be a great way to promote Expression Engine, educate future EE professionals, bring some fresh ideas, and improve your customer service. I know there will be a lot of very smart college graduates who would love to do get an oppurtunity to work with EE.

    Just a suggestion.

Hi, anoopbal - we do have one intern, and believe me, we keep him busy. 😊

Thanks for the reply! Why not have 2-3? I did a lot of un-paid internships. I was happy to get in for an internship than worry about getting paid. And most of my colleagues were the same.

    Hi, anoopbal -

If you’re interested in an internship with EllisLab, please feel free to contact me directly via lisa DOT wess AT ellislab DOT com.

I can’t promise anything immediate, but we do have an internship program in place now so we can at least discuss the possibilities.

    Thank you!

    Hi Lisa,

    Thanks for the reply.

My field is the fitness field. I just do web stuff as a hobby to maintain my site. When I said 3-4 internships, I meant in the fitness circles. I just thought it would be a really good idea for EE since you are a bit lack of staff. I have worked at places where they have 3-4 of them.

Maybe have one of them to make some screencasts for EE (:-

    Thanks again!

anoopbal - we are working on screencasts actually, and our intern is currently one of those involved in creating those. =)
