I just installed the newest build of the discussion forum, version 3.1.4 (20110630). I’ve installed all the themes that came with it, and so far haven’t altered those themes in any way.

However, on the top and bottom of the topic pages it shows how many pages of topics there are in that forum (such as “1 of 21”) but there are no pagination links to go to the following pages. The pagination links are gone in all of the themes.

Checking the templates, I can see that the

{pagination_links}

tag is there, but it’s not doing anything.

this is a known bug. You can find a fix for this in the bug’s report.

forgive me for saying, but it seems to me that pagination is part of the minimum feature set required for a forum and is unacceptable for release.

Even if it did get released it should be in big BRIGHT PINK ( or some other appropriate color ) so i dont have to search through the forums find information about it
