Hi there,
Does anyone know of a way to lock login access to a Discussion Forum whilst the site is being backed up and copied to a new server? Is there somewhere I can do this in the admin panel, or would I need to resort to editing forum theme files?
I’m happy for the forum topics to be browseable/read only during the move.

Hello sdireland,
You can set the System to “off” and no one bit Super Admins will be allowed to access the site. In the ExpressionEngine Control Panel, navigate to Admin > General Configuration and change the option for “Is system on?” to “No”. Click “Update” to save your changes. Then you can safely proceed with your backup and move 😊
