    Hello all,

I have recently created a new members group (Content Users) and everytime I try to add/edit content, I get the error:
    An Error Was Encountered
You are not authorized to access this page

I have checked the permissions for this group and all of the correct options have been selected and they have complete access to the Content channel in the CP.  I have no issues when adding/editing content when I am logged in under the Super Admin, just this new account under this new group. Whats even more strange is that even though the error comes up, it is taking the changes but then changing the status to closed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Updated to the latest release (v2.2.2 - Build: date 20110801) and the error is still there.

    vwadesign,

For your Channel make sure you have a status group assigned to it.
Not having one will cause the behavior of changing the status to closed

What permissions do you a have set for the group?

    Can access the control panel?
    Can access CONTENT section
    Can access CONTENT: Publish
    Can access CONTENT: Edit

Also make sure under Channel Assignment you have the correct channel selected

    Hi

I am getting the same error when I try to edit nearly all my entries in any channel signed in as Super admin. We are using version 2.1.3 and it jsut started happening very recently.

It either gives me the error when I click the entry from the edit menu or it will send me to a new publish entry form. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Hi berkeley,

That is a known bug in that older version of EE. Please upgrade to latest version, EE2.3.1 to fix

The bug has to do with waiting for entries to load on your Edit page before clicking one to edit. Wait a bit longer for list of entries to finish loading and then click one and you shouldn’t have an issue
