I want to set up a safecracker form that will take information from an existing entry and allow the ‘owner’ of the entry to edit it.

However when the new, edited version is submitted I want this revised entry to become a new channel entry, leaving the original information in place.

    Is this possible ?

    TIA

    Hi, Stuart.

That’s not the way SafeCracker is designed to work. You might be able to write code to check for the value of a field in the database that determines if this is meant to be a brand new entry as opposed to saving just the existing item. I’d suggest a feature request.
