Is it possible to add a Custom Filed to the Edit table/list?

Hi

Is it possible to add to the edit list/table a custom field column? I have many, many entries and its a difficult/long task to know which ones have a certain entry that I would want to edit. I need to click to edit many entries in order to find one with something I need to edit. Hope that makes sense.

I found this, but think its just for EE 1.6 http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/87651/#601185.
