I seem to be having some trouble with installing EE at the moment. Any help is much appreciated!

    - I’ve downloaded EE

    - Created a mysql db

    - Uploaded the files to my server

    - Set the permissions as outlined in http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/installation/installation.html

    - Opened Firefox and pointed my browser to http://mydomain.com/admin.php

    ERROR: File not found…

Either the instructions are wrong or I’m not fully awake today. Heh…

The only file I see at root level that is a .php file is index.php… When I try to hit that using http://mydomain.com/index.php I get “Your config file does not appear to be formatted correctly.”

Not sure why the docs say admin.php, you should be visiting /system/ in your browser to run the ee installer
