I’ve been out of the EEcrm loop for a bit.
I’m doing preliminary discovery on a (potential) project. It looks like MSM is a good fit in that the client needs support for multiple domain names. Each with custom “tuned” content(think SEO) for a particular country. For example, mysite.com, mysite.co.uk, mysite.ca, mysite.br, etc. Makes sense. Right content at the right time and all that good EE stuff 😊
Also, some content will be shared. Some will be site specific, of that some might be language specific. Again, think highly tuned SEO friendly content.
Finally, across all those is the need for e-comm. Ultimately, it would also funnel down into the same (more or less) thank you page. That is, having to manage an e-comm install for each domain would probably make the site(s) unmanageable.
1) Does this sound reasonable for MSM and some e-comm addon?
2)What e-comm solution(s) is the tool of choice at the moment for EEcrm?
3) Does anyone have any example URLs of where this is being done? Even just 2 domains sharing as proof of concept is a good example to show the client. Maybe this is something I’d need to ask the e-comm addon providers?
