    Hi,

As the title suggests, I’m trying to get custom member fields for an author in the channel entries loop.

I have {first_name} and {last_name} in my registration form rather and I would like to use those fields rather than a username or screen_name for user generated content.

Is this possible already or do I need to create a plugin for this functionality?

    Thanks

You can use the Custom Profile Data Tag to display custom member fields. Certain variables, like {username} and {screen_name}, are always available and need not be inside of a tag pair to get parsed.

You can also try Solspace’s User module, which has a Stats tag for displaying all kinds of user information; it functions a lot like the Custom Profile Data Tag, but is more flexible.
