A different member ownership for each entry_id. What would be the most effective way?

I was wondering if anybody has an opinion or experience on what would be the most “cost effective” way to allow each individual entry into a channel be owned by its own member. By “cost effective” I do not mean monetary values - but coding and server resource allocation.

Each entry is a restaurant. Each restaurant is owned by a member_id who controls that restaurant. Sometimes, a member may own more than one restaurant.

Members are allowed to edit and post certain information (á lá safecracker, or add-on modules, and so on) for their respective entries.

I was hoping that there was an add-on out there that does something like member control for scenários like this.

    Anybody have ideas?

Safecracker does this already out of the box. parameter: author_only=“yes” (Only allow the author of the entry to edit the entry).

Also in member-group settings you can set if users are allowed to edit entries from other members.
(especially if you allow control panel access to your members, channel posting prefs) http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/cp/members/member_groups_edit.html
