    Hi, EE n00b here.

Been trying to get multiple galleries set up. Running into this error. At this point, not sure if it is plugin related, php memory limit related, or something else. Can anyone help?

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 37748736 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 16000 bytes) in (my path info)/expressionengine/third_party/ed_imageresizer/pi.ed_imageresizer.php on line 313

And I know that I’m new, but setting up galleries, slideshows, etc is a big pain in the ...

Any real tutorials out there? At this point I’d pay for a decent walkthrough. You know, “step 1. do this. Step 2, do this.” I had a lot of success with Boyink’s tutorial to learn EE. Now I’d like to actually

Or even an addon that would do this in its sleep. Coming from Wordpress has been a challenge. I see the ultimate benefit for EE, but I used to be able to say “ok, I need a gallery tool” and then I found one.

I’m all for learning, but I am also a bit under the gun here…

    Hi Malcolm

Are there already images in the channel entries that are being resized? I’ve seen similar errors when the imagesizer is trying to resize a large image (like a 4mb JPEG at 3000 x 3000px) and the system runs out of memory trying to create the resized version.

Have a look to see if you have any really large images, remove those and try it again.

Thanks Jez. I deleted them one by one and finally ended up deleting all of them and the error went away. I resized all images (I was hoping to do a high rez version of each so that people could download/order prints) and they started working once I got them down to about 300k or so each.

I’m still having major issues with creating a gallery, mainly because I don’t really know what I am fully doing yet. In the interest of time, I guess I will go Picasa for now until I learn more about all of this. Thank you again for your help.

same here, when uploading image it automatically resize the image around 400+ px and the quality became poor, is there any way to change the image dimension?

    Thanks
