    Hi

Anyone checked out the new Social Plugins at Facebook?
    Awesome! And easy to implement!

Me - a total newbie at both any kind of web-programming and EE implemented the commenting and like-modules in a single evening in my little EE-learning project at hvid.nu.
A bit tweaking to do, but I’m a happy man 😊

Commenting - syncs comments between FB and your site (as long as you don’t alter the url) in real time, and there is moderation functionality!
Like - as always have been.

    Hi,

Did you implement site-wide comments and like or specific to each post? Could you give some examples of how you did it? I am not quite grasping what information needs to go into the head for each page or how to feed the current url to comments and like.

    Hi

I have implemented comments and like in two channels (unique for each post)
You can check the results on http://www.hvid.se/patricks_blogg if you like (swedish site).
The likes are available both in the “feed” and on the individual “post” pages, the comments only on “post” pages, but that is up to you…

Will try to find some time to write a little something on how I did it over the weekend.

Oh, that is a really slick implementation of the comments, looks very good. If you find some time to write a few lines, that’d be great, definitely having some issues wrapping my head around what exactly is needed for each of the social plugins. 😊

I’m happy to share - just need to find some time..  😊
Took me a few (read many) hours to get everything right…

I know what you mean about time, no worries!

Just updating to say I did manage to get the comments in, turned out embedding them didn’t work as well as I had hoped. But straight on the page, I got them working. Will take a stab at the like next. 😊

I have attached a quick-and-dirty document to my first post on how i did this on my site.
If anyone is interested in the full source I can probably provide that as well….
