After our clint hits publish/update button, the following page “view entry” correctly displays internal and external links that have been added to site content, but, the links all break if tested, so our client can’t confirm they are working correctly.

The links then work perfectly if the content is displayed and they all validate.

This doesn’t happen to links within the content of the MAIN site, only of the MSM sites.

This is a well established MSM install that’s been running a few dozen sites for several years.

All path files appear to be set correctly. I’ve tried turning on “Apply Rank Denial to User-submitted Links?” but that didn’t seem to change a thing.

The links in the CP appear to be formatting correctly:

    <a href="http://www.adomain.org/pioneer/school?URL=http://www.adomain.org">http://www.adomain.org/pioneer/school?URL=http://www.adomain.org</a>

Hm… the forums are converting characters in code view on me.

    http://www.adomain.org/pioneer/school?URL=http % 3 A % 2 F % 2 F http://www.adomain.org (spaces to show actual code).

Could you please test in a 1.7.0 MSM site and see if your links are working? Or give me some clue as to where else things could be breaking down? This could be a bug, or it could be one of those little things you have to do a little differently with MSM. I just need a little help tracking this down.

We’ll be doing an update to 1.7.1 in the near future, but I didn’t notice anything in that build that might have changed this issue.

UPDATE: Found the answer. In general settings we had the name of our “index” page set incorrectly. All is good now. Please close this ticket when you have a moment.

    Thanks!
