    See attached screenshot.
Only standard type custom fields used.

Also, when trying to hide fields and save the layout in the publish page, the fields are indeed hidden, but I still get the error:

There was a problem saving your layout. The following fields have invalid characters in the short names: missing_name

    EE 2.1.3, build 20110411

I just noticed when trying to save an entry, none of the data entered in some of the custom fields is actually saved.

The custom fields affected are the ones beginning with “page_content_left…” and “page_content_right…”, and is the same for all languages.

See attachment for custom field overview.

This is quite urgent, so I’d appreciate a swift and effective response with a solid solution here guys 😉

    [UPDATED]
Forgot to mention that the PHP-error shows up in every channel publish page. I haven’t dared try updating any of them though, in case I lose more data.

    RESOLVED!

Found the answer to the problem here: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/180989/

Delete the layout and save. Exit the publish page and open it again, that did the trick!

Glad that you were able to get things working again. That’s what I would have suggested first. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any more questions.
