Does anyone know of an add-on (commercial or free, doesn’t matter) that will allow me to implement some sort of workflow management for publishing content in EE?

Basically, what I want is for a user to only be able to publish content in some sort of pending or draft mode, and then a moderator can look at that content, edit it, if necessary, and then publish it.

Is there anything like this available for EE?

    Thanks.

When it comes to add-ons, I tend to search over on Devot-ee.com - in this case http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/mx-notify-control/ may work for you..

    Does that help?

I’ll take a look at that, thanks.  Devot-ee has such a horrible search user interface… I just thought it would be easier to ask.

Sorry, was there a reason the built-in entry status/member management wouldn’t work?

What you describe can all be achieved with native functionality.

You’d only need an add-on if you wanted one version of an entry live while another version works through a revision process.

Mike is right.. you can do all of this natively, except that there is no emailing of the site admin or whomever when an edit occurs.. which would be one reason to try the notify control.

If you need different versions (one live, one being worked on) then this plugin will do it: http://leevigraham.com/cms-customisation/expressionengine/nsm-publish-plus/

    $90 at the moment

Not if he’s using EE 2.

There isn’t currently one to recommend, only hints of people working on something.

I’ll go ahead and move this over to the CodeShare Corner for further discussion. Thanks all.
