Dear EE Gurus,

This is a weird one.

I have a list of 87 categories… All the categories show up in the CMS and database BUT

when selected there are a few categories that do not display on the site.

For example:

In the list of all categories quite a few are missing.

and when I mark an article the ones that do not show up in the whole list don’t show up in the article…
i.e.
I marked 3 on an entry but only 2 show up.

when i manually enter the category name

site.com/category/name1
site.com/category/name2

the relevant article show up!

Would you be able to tell me why this would happen, and how can i trouble shoot it?

I have php admin and I am able to find them there, but not exactly sure what I am looking for…

Ok I will try… I have 87 categories. (see attached image)

When I use this code:

{exp:channel:categories style="linear" channel="channel" limit="100" show_empty="yes"}{category_name}{/exp:channel:categories}

only about 40 show up.

when i use this code in articles:

{categories}{category_name} {/categories}

Only some of the ones I selected actually show up.

If this code is all by itself, what results do you get?

42 of the categories show up.
AND to make things weirder I set them in alphabetical order but ONE of them with a W shows as the 2nd item right after “A”... >_<

There’s a category sorting bug in that version of EE 2.1.3, but that may not be what the problem is here.

Do you have a page I can look at?
