I wanted to add a custom member field which is visible in admin panel when I add new members, but I can’t see this option:

“Is field visible in the control panel’s administrative registration page?”

I see that it exists here: http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/cp/members/custom_member_fields_edit.html but in my admin panel I don’t see such option.
    My EE version is v2.1.0

Also, is it possible to display such custom fields but only for certain group of members? For example I have two member groups - Editors, Bloggers and I want to display different custom members fields for each of those groups?

    Hi, PipSpratt.

Can we double check your version?

Can you tell us which version/build of EE2.x you’re using? See EEWiki:// HowTo Determine My EE Version

As far as the ability to have different custom fields for different member groups - that would make a great Feature Request.

yes, my version is v2.1.0 - I’ve double checked the footer of my admin panel.
So I should post this question in Feature Request forum?

    PipSpratt,

I would suggest upgrading to latest version which is EE2.13. A lot has changed since then regarding bug fixes, security etc.

When you do upgrade make sure to follow the version upgrade docs

Hopefully this issue will sort itself out after your upgrade.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding upgrade let us know
