Hi As a Super Admins user I can access the forms under Publish to edit all sections of the website (e.g events, restaurant etc.).  I have created a client account (Content Admin group) but when I log on as this client, I cannot see all the sections to edit.  I’m a newbie to EE but I don’t remember choosing sections which this client could modify so I expected them all to appear in the Publish drop-down.  Are there some settings I need to change?

    Hi,
First you really should refer to the userguide, this is all explained there. A little effort on your part would probably speed your answer up.

    Anyhow…
    Login as your superadmin.
Go to “members” and then “member groups”
Click “Edit Group” next to the member group you created.
Scroll down to “Channel Posting Privileges” - click to expand that box and select which channels you want them to see.
    Click Update… Done.

    Thoughts here…
    1. if you create access groups, you really need to learn about them. Think security
    2. If you do intend to give them a large amount of access… Rather than creating a new group top right, use the options bottom left on the member groups panel to duplicate another group first. That way rather than setting everything up, you just modify a near groups settings.

Thank you very much - I was panicking because I had a client coming for training.  Didn’t know you could choose which channels from update as the last site I did just listed them all which was fine.  I will read the user guide thoroughly from now on.

    Thanks for the assist, Nevsie.

Lorna - we also have a wiki, and there are several places outside of ExpressionEngine where you can find additional information. But in the meantime - Feel free to start a new thread if you have any more questions.
