I just noticed on the control panel’s home page this message:

An unexpected error occurred attempting to download the current ExpressionEngine version number. Please visit your Download Account to verify you are on the current version. If this error persists, please contact your system administrator.

Is there a file I can replace to fix this ?

The current version was downloaded from my member page a few days ago.

The bottom part of control panel displays this:

v2.1.3 - © Copyright 2003 - 2010 EllisLab, Inc.
Script executed in 0.1279 seconds - 28 SQL queries used - Build:  20101220

This version number is exactly the same number as my download page.

I get this on local installs as I block plugins that try and phone home (yes EE phones home) unblock it and message disappears. Wouldn’t worry about it IMO
