There are quite a few recent articles heralding the death of the commenting system on blogs - in favor of social media conversations. The premise is that the real conversations about a topic or blog post may be happening on twitter or facebook. A user might find it easier to post a quick tweet vs submitting comment.
So I was quite happy to see Happycog implement some sort of comment system which uses twitter ( See commenting part of this blog post - http://cognition.happycog.com/article/a-methodology-to-our-madness) . Since then, I have been searching for a simple way to implement this on expressionengine. Can’t find any. I have also just found something called echo ( http://www.aboutecho.com/echoAppStore.php ) - which is a realtime commenting system. Does anyone know how to do this in EE? Does a module exist for something like this? What do you guys think?
