Pages won't show up in pages module

Hello,

I’m pretty new to Expression Engine.
I’m trying the Pages Module but when i add a page ,it won’t show up on the pages module.
When i’m changing the Page URI value in the publish/Page tab it works and it shows up on the Pages Module.

Is the Page URI value required to fill in? I thought it was used to override a auto-generated Page URI and it was not required to be changed.

I am using EE2.
