Hi, focusfusion -
There isn’t any current integration with MW. Both have APIs, so it may be possible to create such an integration, but you’d need to code that up yourself. The same goes for cross-referencing content; though if you can use Magpie to pull in RSS feeds it may be a bit more simple. That’s on the EE end, but MW may have Magpie support as well. It’s been a few years since I administered a MediaWiki site.
Nope, you can’t copy/paste across the two sites. Some tags may be the same, but you’ll end up with many funky results.
If you use the EE Wiki, there is a forum talk discussion to link a wiki article to the forums - we use that in our own wiki form here.
I don’t think there is a wiki standard, at least, I have not seen one.
EE’s wiki is pretty simple and straightforward. There is a TOC plugin that can you let you do sections. You could also use Textile or Markdown to allow for easily created tables, etc.
Ultimately I’d recommend trying both and seeing which will work for you. I know that’s not the easiest answer, but it is the best. =)
(Every time I look at the Mac app store I agree about the “too many options” statement!)
