    Hello

Is there a process or a 3rd party product. That will allow me to migrate/convert a Word Press blog into ExpressionEngine 2?

    thanks

Hi, ipatrick. If you’re looking to convert some WordPress entries, try DataGrab, which you can find on Devot-ee.com.

    Does that help?

    Hello Sue
That plugin looks very promising. I also found this older utility.

    Thank you for your help.

EE 2.x doesn’t support importing from Movable Type any longer. So that utility won’t help in that case.

So it’s impossible to bring a word press blog into EE 2.x?  Or there is another tool for it?

    Hi, ggoforth -

You have two options here at the moment.

    1.  Install EE 1 and import your Wordpress content using the MT Import utility as per lpatrick’s post.  Then update to EE 2.

    2.  Use DataGrab to import into an EE 2 installation.

    I hope that helps!

    ggoforth,

The add-on Sue mentioned initially, DataGrab, would be the way to go. Moving this over to the CodeShare Corner for further discussion. Thanks all!
