Need advice on Forms

Does anyone know of a form module for EE2 that encrypts data at rest?

I’ve used Freeform in the past, but it only encrypts data in transit. We’re working on a proposal for a client who requests that any data submitted from a form not only be stored on a database but also remain encrypted, so that if for any reason the database was compromised, the data would be unreadable.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

I am not aware of such a module, and a quick search at devot-ee didn’t turn up much useful, either.

I suppose you could use some PHP to store your data encrypted, but that only shifts the issue to where you’re going to store the key. In the database? In a file on the server? Just food for thought.

    Hey guys,

This may not be immediately helpful, however I will make sure to include this feature in my upcoming module, since I have several clients that also have similar requirements.

Please let me know if you’d like to be included in the beta.
