I updated from 1 to 2. My template files are in a folder called 1.x_templates. Do I go to the synchronize templates section and sync them all so I can work on flat files? As of right now, when I make an edit to a flat file the change is not reflected so it seems to be using the template data stored in the database. When I go to that section, it says “No file exists” after all of them. Screen shot attached.

Hi, Charming Nerd. Those templates are simply a backup for the 1.x versions. You’ll need to make sure you have associated a folder for the new templates. I tend to use a folder called edit outside the /system folder so that when upgrading, I don’t have to remember to put those folders back in.

    Does that help?

Does that help? That said, what happens when you do try to sync them?

I did not know about the new template path setting. I made sure that was set and made sure the folder existed. Then I synced and all my template files were created.

Sounds like things are working again. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
