I’m getting the underline instead of spaces in the email subject line problem that was reported before and supposedly fixed.
    Previous thread and another one.

I’ve looked at the code in /system/core/core.email.php around line 835 and it looks like the fix that Robin showed in her reply.

I’ve tried using PHP Mail and Sendmail as the protocol settings in the CP.
Attached is the header text from an email sent from the Communicate module, but it was the same with a notification email.

This site is going live in a day or so, so a quick fix would be good.

I’m on 1.7.0 Build: 20101018 (which doesn’t exist according to the change log.

Are you using any extensions? You might want to try replace your files with a fresh set; I am unable to reproduce the issue on my setup.

I re-uploaded all the system files and still got the same.

But I then discovered that the latest files don’t have the fix applied. Where I had edited the old ones with the fix.

The post in November said it had “been committed for the next release” and so I took it that the recently downloaded files had it.

    So it’s working now.

Hi, Paul. Robin mentioned it’s fixed for the next release, but there isn’t a newer release for EE 1.7.0 yet. but glad you were able to make the file changes needed. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
