    Hi

Am trying to upgrade from EE 1.6.3 to EE2. I get as far as step 4 of the installation instructions, but when I try to point my browser at the system folder, I just get a blank screen (at domain.com/system/index.php).

I uploaded the new EE2 index.php to the root, plus the system and theme folders. Is there anything else I need to do?

In the 1.6x installation, the system folder was named differently, though renaming the newly uploaded ‘system’ folder to this, and changed the variable in index.php to reflect that, makes no difference.

Do I need to do anything with the index.php held within the System folder?

    Thanks for any help.

Ah, looks like the host isn’t running php5. Curses. Atleast looks like a simple solution then!

Very glad to see it was an easy fix. Please post again as needed.
