    I’m seeing some weird labels in CP.

    What’s up with this? How can I fix it so the English label titles appear?

    See attachment.

    Graham,

    What version and build of EE are you using?

    Was this a fresh install or an upgrade from a different version or build?

    If you switch themes does it work?

    If you are anything below EE2.1.3 I would suggest upgrading first

    Hi John,

    2.1.3 Build 20101220.

    Seeing the same thing in all themes. This was an upgrade from 2.1.2… Don’t remember seeing it then, but can’t be sure.

    Seems it’s even appearing in some (but not all) menu items (see attached).

    Hi, Graham.

    Do you have a comment_lang.php file in your /system/expressionengine/language/english folder? Is there a value set on line 282?

    Hi Sue,

    I have a comment_lang.php file in that location, but there’s only 103 lines in the file, with the last line being:

    /* End of file lang.comment.php */
    /* Location: ./system/expressionengine/language/english/lang.comment.php */

    There’s values set for all values, so far as I can see.

    Hi Graham,

    Can you please redownload ExpressionEngine and then refresh the language files from that?

    Cheers

    Greg
