I am having issues with the EE Mailing list.

Version: 1.6.8

I have been trying to use the “Communicate” tab to send to our 1,432 opted-in mailing list. Since our first letter sent to 80 or so people, we haven’t been able to send any more after this.

All the test e-mails work when sent individually but when sent to the entire list it doesn’t seem to get through to anyone. Furthermore, there are no bounced-back e-mails.

Both PHPMail and Sendmail options work, and I’ve put it so it sends in batches of 50 and still no luck. Again, all test mails sent to individual addresses work but not when sent to the entire list.

Also, on our comments via the Blog we have setup through EE we are riddled with spam bots that post daily. Could this be an issue?

Please help, it is imperative this is fixed as soon as possible.

I would check with your hosting company - they may be throttling mail somehow.

Your hosting company as zackmorgansays would be a very good first port of call. It is not unusual for a hosting company to have limits in place for mail sending like this.

Are you using EE’s captcha feature or required membership for commenting? Alternatively there are a good few extensions which may help also
