Is it possible for 2 sites, running on the multi site manager…. to share weblog entries between each other?

For example

I want to set two sites up that have a different theme, pages etc. But i also want them both to have an ‘Events’ page. If i add an event to one side, id like it to appear on both sites.

Is this possible with MSM?

I’ve tried this code:

{exp:weblog:entries weblog="{my_weblog}" site="1|2"}
{title}
{/exp:weblog:entries}

Just to run a quick test, and it only seems to pull in the entries related to the site im on.

Yes, that’s possible. That said, the site short name is likey not just “1” or “2”. Even so, in your setup you’d need to a channel by the same name on both sites, do you have that in your setup?

Ingmar is right, it’s absolutely possible 😊 I think you may be using the site ID instead of the site short name. It’s more likely to be

site=“mayo|butter”

rather than

site=“1|2”

You should also make sure the weblog name for “{my_weblog}” is the same on both sites.
