    EE 2.1.3
    Build: 20101220

I can’t seem to add a new category when it contains just integers. For example “2010”.

    1) I click “Add Category”.
    2) Category Name field I type value “2010”
    3) Click submit
    4) Category Group is blank.

    The Ocean Agency,

In your steps you have mentioned both a category and a category group. Which one are you referring to?

If you add a number for a category name you will get a warning saying that “Numbers cannot be used as Category URL Titles”. You can use them for a category name but you will have to edit the category url title slightly

You can use Integers as a category group name

Was this a fresh install or an upgrade from a previous version or build?

What I meant about #4. After submitting the “add category”, the category group container box didn’t populate. This was because the category url titles was left blank. It works now if give the category name “2010”, and the category url titles “two-thousand-ten”.

Didn’t receive the error message “Numbers cannot be used as Category URL Titles”.

Upgraded from version 2.1.2 to 2.1.3.

    Thanks for the help.

    The Ocean Agency,

Odd you didn’t see the validation error. What browser are you using?
Did you replace your themes/cp_themes and add the new themes/javascript folder when you upgraded?

Do you wish to continue troubleshooting this?
