    Hello,

I can log in and out of my main site just fine until I visit the control panel, after which I can’t log out of the control panel or the main site until I clear all cookies. I am removing index.php however its still the same with or without the .htaccess file and the index.php? in the url line of the logout link.

I have sessions set to cookies only, i’m running 1.7 although I had the same problem with 1.6.7. I have tried setting a cookie path but the problem remains. When I try to logout from cpanel it just goes back to cpanel home but I remain logged in.

    Any ideas what causing this?

    Thanks!

    Hi, Mr Goongs.

I see that you have a MSM license as well. Are you using that in this install?

When you made the cookie domain, did you put in a period before the domain name?

    Example: .example.com

    Hello sue,

Yes, I am using the multiple site manager on this site. I’ve set the cookie domain with the period at the start too.

    Thanks!

Have you tried some other settings besides cooki, e.g. sessions_ids (or both cookies and ids)? Does that work?

I just added the cookie domain to the config file as well (I was just updating the cookie settings in control panel) and its logging in and out perfectly now!

    Thanks for your help.
