    Hi,

I am trying to do a upgrade from 1.7.0 to 2.1.3, but walking against some troubles. I am getting this error message while converting.

    Error Number: 1068
    \n\n

    Multiple primary key defined
    \n\n

    ALTER TABLE `exp_forum_read_topics` ADD PRIMARY KEY `member_id_board_id` (`member_id`, `board_id`)

Anyone has a clue how to fix this in PHPMyAdmin?

    Regards,

    Steve

Can you confirm the value of $conf[‘app_version’] in your /system/config.php file prior to starting the upgrade?

    steve-o-lution,

What version of the forum did you have installed?

have a look in the exp_modules table and you can find the version there quickly

Hi, Steve. Had you attempting to upgrade earlier?

If you DESC exp_forum_read_topics, which fields do you have in there?

Not with this database. Everytime i try to convert i upload a clean backup of the 170 database.

These are the fields i have:

    member_id, board_id, topics and last_visit,

That’s the EE 1.x compatible version. You have uploaded the Forum 3.1.2 files, correct?

When you are restoring the database tables, are you dropping all the tables first, and then putting back in the 1.7.0 database?

Yes, everything is cleaned and dropped before putting back the database. Also tried with 1.6.8 database. Same problem.

It’s a very large database +/- 350MB. So everytime trying to do a succesfull convert takes a long time. Is there maybe a freelance expert here that could try it for us?

If it’s a very large database, that may be part of the problem. Have you considered downloading the database and converting on a local install, then uploading the db back again? You might want to contact someone from the Pro Network to help out. Have you also considered things like removing bogus members, spam comments, older entries, that sort of thing?
