I logged into a site that up until a week or so was working fine this morning to find that the entries list page no longer shows any entries. I’ve not made any changes myself in that time. I’ve tried disabling extensions, but that hasn’t changed anything. The site’s running v1.6.9 build 20100430. I checked the error log but the only thing being reported is “Unable to parse XML data” (seems that error has been occurring since October without any impairment to the site functioning).

Hi, John. If you go look at the database tables themselves, is the content still there?

Turns out to be a problem with the Edit Tab AJAX extension. It was the first thing I thought of so I disabled it but it didn’t fix the problem so thought it must’ve been something else. Somehow the edit page had got ‘stuck’ with an invisible character in the search field. :?
