Is there a way of including custom fields for meta description and meta keywords for more than one channel without creating individual custom fields?

It seems as though if you had loads of channels for different purposes that were pages you would actually be creating lots of additional fields to essentially hold the similar information.

Is this right?  I’m new to Expression Engine so excuse my ignorance.

You can use Drifter to assign a field to multiple channels.  Or Gypsy for EE1.

in terms of META data - i assume you want this for headers.
So go to devot-ee and look at SEO-lite - for basic title, meta desc, meta key - adds a tab to all channels specifically for this, and is nice:

Want more complete Meta details have a look at NSM better meta:

Thanks, this is useful.  The Drifter doesn’t work with 2.1.1.

    Ill check these other recommendations.
