    I’ve just upgraded EE2 to the latest build and version(Current Version: 2.1.3 - Build: 20101220). Now my login screen has no CSS styling and my control panel barely works. No jquery, my menus are limited. I have now gone through the install process 3 times. Plus this is all locally on my machine. I’m glad I didn’t try this on the production server. Any help would be appreciated?

    xharrell,

    Did you upgrade your themes folder? Pay special attention to the new ‘javascript’ folder that needs to be there.

    Can you confirm you followed the version update docs as opposed to the build update docs?

    I just went through the version update here:http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/installation/update.html. I made sure the new javascript file is there.
    Im still getting the same problem. What if i did a fresh install? I did one on my local machine and it loads up fine but my concern is losing the information I have from my current database.

    xharrell,

    What browser are you using?
    If using FireFox can you use Firebug and load up cp and see if any errors are reported.
    Safari ahas a similar tool built in if using that

    Here’s the error message:

    jQuery is not defined
    [Break On This Error] (function($, doc) {var adv_css = {".bu…ess_css);});}})(jQuery, this.document)
    index….2869386 (line 1)
    jQuery is not defined
    [Break On This Error] jQuery.ui||function(c){c.ui={version:"...rflow")=="hidden")return false;var d=
    index….2869404 (line 11)
    $ is not defined
    [Break On This Error] $(document).ready(function(){var f={},...en_close”).click(function(){b.hide();

    Any suggestions from that?

    Hi xharrell,

    Can you view the source of one of your pages that are coming up un-styled and paste it here to allow us investigate what’s going on with the CSS.

    Thank you
