I am working on a website has a usergroup say ug1 has permission to access front end dashboard as well as CMS of the site. once he logged into the front end and try to access the CMS he is prompted to login once again. As he has already logged into the system so how can we enable the user to login into the cms automatically. may be by placing a button “CMS access” on the front end and by clicking on it he/she can login into the cms?

    Please advise ASAP.

    Hi, satya prakash.

What I’d do is set your EE control panel to use Cookies Only

See: HowTo Set Cookies Only in Security Preferences.

Then make sure you’re using either the www version of your site or the non-www version of your site when logging in. As long as they match, that’ll help. Or you can set a Cookie Domain.

    Does that help?
