Actually, I found the problem with the code—a chunk of it is missing. The problem is, my so-called backup of the installable is also missing. No problem, thinks I, I’ll just have to download it again. Except that in the interim, EE has stopped offering the 1.x downloads. :(!
Would it be possible for some kind soul to send me just the broken files? Or, more accurately, whole versions of the broken files. 😊 Ideally, I’d like to get my hands on the missing installable, but I understand the EE folks might have a problem with that. At any rate, the files I would need are 1.6.8 mod.comment.php, and mod.metaweblog_api.php.
Any help with this rather embarrasing snafu greatly appreciated!
