I’m building a typical news site where all entries will be organized by topic. On a page where I show the full contents of a channel entry how would I add a sidebar item that shows a list of other entries from the same topic? For example, any entry in “Entertainment” would show a list of the 5 most recent other entries in “Entertainment”.
I’m still planning my site so I’ve not decided whether each topic will be a channel or category. The answer to this question will, in large part, dictate which way I go.
I plan to use tags, so I don’t really care whether each topic is a channel or category unless someone can point out reasons to choose one way over the other. If you know of any, please share.
I very much want to be able to show other content from the same topic so whatever allows me to do that is what I’ll use. If you know, and especially if you can provide the code, please help. Thanks
