    Can anyone recommend a good domain registrar which has its own dns services that provide full zone editing?

    I currently do business with GoDaddy who has good zone editing but overall their services suck. I also do justhost.com which uses pipedns for domain hosting, and they do not provide zone editing.

    I do not need email (use Google Apps) nor do I need a web server.

    I personally register all of my domains via GoDaddy then point the name servers to ASmallOrange (referral). They offer excellent DNS Zone Editing services as well as extremely affordable hosting (I pay $60/yr for 750MB HDD and 15GB BW/mo).

    I’m sure if you just registered a domain with them you would have the same zone editing services provided. Try the coupon codes REDDIT15 for 15% off or REDDIT5 for $5 off.

    Well I do not know if geographical location matters (should not for DNS), so I would recommend two Dutch providers:

    1. Flexwebhosting (you basically only have to pay for domain registration, control of DNS records included, good ticket and phone support);
    2. TransIP - same as above.

    My own domain is at this moment being transferred to Flexwebhosting and I as well use Gmail Apps and have no active website (some sub-domains for testing now and then, but no real website).

    Cheers,
    Smilie
