EE CP theme for mobile devices drops categories when editing

I can’t do anything at all with categories using the mobile theme for the EE control panel; nothing loads in the field window.

I could live with that since I can always add the category later from home, but if I use my mobile to edit an entry the category already assigned to that entry gets dropped when I publish the edit.

While I’m griping about the mobile theme, I also can’t administer member accounts with it; it won’t load any member data at all.

I’m using it on an iPod Touch 4th Generation (and I’m planning to get a iPhone 4 very soon). Any ideas?

I’m also seeing a number of PHP errors when using the Mobile theme on iPhone 4 and Safari (mobile).

What version and build of EE are you using? Are you using any extensions?

2.1.1 build 20101020. The only extension is Low NoSpam.

Update, 5 Jan 2011: I’ve since upgraded to 2.1.3 Build 20101220, and in addition to not being able to view members, I also have all of the PHP errors Grrramps describes.

For me, no extensions on EE 2.1.3 (latest build). I get the errors on an existing site and a remote dev site with no content. I can replicate the errors on multiple EE 2.1.3 installs via iPhone, and by using Developer Mobile Safari 4.1 on a Mac.

    Hi grrramps and ak4mc,

What you’re seeing is some exacerbation of existing issues with the Mobile theme. I’ve bumped that bug report up to a Major; please add any additional errors you’re seeing to that report and we’ll get it fixed up. Thanks!

Nothing to add myself; next to Grramps’ issue mine is pretty mild— at least so far.

I’ll check it out again in the next rev.

For the time being I’ve dropped the mobile theme and just do a lot of zooming in—but at least I have access to everything, and all of it works.

Edited Jan. 15: This question is NOT resolved, and I do not agree with this thread being closed.
