    Hi, wanted to upgrade from 2.1.1 (formerly Freelancer v.2.1.1 20101020 - switched to commercial) to 2.1.2 20101215, following the update instructions. Running the wizard getting the attached error 1060.

    Thanks for any help

    Did you run the update twice, perhaps, even partially? What version info do you have in config.php?

    right, I did a second time as got the first time this error:
    {“error”:”

    Error Number: 1060
    \n\n

    Duplicate column name ‘show_sidebar’
    \n\n

    ALTER TABLE exp_members ADD show_sidebar char(1) NOT NULL default ‘y’ AFTER quick_tabs
    \n\n

    Filename: updates/ud_212.php
    \n\n

    Line Number: 53
    “}
    So, for the moment I went back to former version 2.1.1 ...
    Also watching this thread http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/176081/... next week I’ll have time to do more work on this

    Hans-Jakob Bollinger,

    Before you run your update again check your database to see if the show_sidebar has been added to the exp_members table. If it is there then comment out the following line in /system/installer/updates/ud_212.php

    //$Q[] = "ALTER TABLE exp_members ADD show_sidebar char(1) NOT NULL default 'y' AFTER quick_tabs";

    Hi John
    I just started again, this time I upgraded properly from 211 Freelancer to Commercial, then checked DB and there was no show_sidebar so I performed an unchanged update to 212 and it was working very well. So I guess I did not a proper upgrade to the commercial version the first time….Thanks for your help!
    This kind of friendly, efficient and qualified support was one reason for me to turn to ee!
