Can anyone tell me if the ‘orderby’ parameter sorts alphabetically in all cases.

If a custom field is used which contains a number is the sorting numeric?

I am using a custom field to control the display order of images and the field contains numbers.

The exact sort order is defined by your db collation, but in most cases it is alphabetically, yes. What issues, if any, are you having exactly?

I’m using a custom field to control the order of display in an image gallery.

I assumed that integers would be sorted numerically but there not.

I did post into the EE 2.0 forum as well and have resolved my issue there.

EE1.x only has text fields by default, but glad you have a solution. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
