Hi,
All of a sudden I find myself unable to create new custom field or modify the existing ones. After hitting submit EE does not update. Instead returning an alert to open admin.php, which is essentially 0 byte file.
Furthermore, I tried to clear cached data, but the same result. Any help?

What version and build of EE are you running?
Are you using and extensions?
How much PHP memory do you have?
Is this a local installation of a professionally hosted site?

Lately I had a look at my exp_relationships table. The table has 131248 database record and a size of 1GB. I suspect playa to be “playing” here. What’s your thought about the table size and record set?

Try to clear caches and temporary files. You might also want to try updating both EE and Playa / Matrix.
