I’m using the Forum Module on a site.  I’m trying to customize a few things and I’m not sure how to accomplish them.

1.Is there a way to remove the Register option from the Forum?  The site I’m working on is a paid site with a yearly subscription.  Users are going to sign up with Freeform and then their account is going to be manually created through the CP by me.

2.I know you can hide topics and posts on the Forum from guests, but is there a way to just re-direct guests who try to access the forum by showing them a completely different page altogether?  Maybe re-direct guests who try to access the forum to my site sign-up page (http://www.mysite.com/sign-up)?

    Thanks!

Hi, jtree. What I’d do is run the forum through a template, and set the template to only be available for logged in members. Non-members would be directed to a different template. Does that help?
