Odd Link Issue

Hi,
I installed EE v1.6.8 for a friend as I’d used it before and found it the most suitable system for the website. Anyway, I have come across an odd little problem when creating links in posts. I create a link in the normal way in the post for example -
testing

However when it gets published it turns into -
http://carol-craig.com/news/index.php?URL=http://www.graeme-skinner.co.uk

It must be something I have done somewhere, I just don’t know where 😖

Any ideas?

try going to weblog management and to weblog preferences for that weblog, go to weblog posting preferences and turn the “Automatically turn URLs and email addresses into links?” to off.

i think that does it.
