I had originally posted a question here but have since fixed it, but the system won’t let me delete it!

I haven’t been able to delete any of my posts for months now! Please fix!

There is nothing to fix, I think; this forum simply won’t let users delete their posts. That is a conscious decision.

So why is there a big button that says “delete” underneath all my posts? Seems a bit misleading to me. It’s not just topics, it’s any kind of post.

I don’t understand - why can’t users delete their own posts? Can moderators? What’s the purpose of that?

It is possible to let users delete their own articles, yes; the same is true for Moderators and Administrators. On this forum, however, the decision has been made to not let users delete them.
